How To Propagate African Violets
The African Violet ( Saint Paulia ) is a very popular houseplant, loved for it’s colorful flowers. With proper care, African violets often bloom all year long.

Supplies
– healthy African Violet plant
– flower pot with potting mix
– a shallow bowl of water
– scissors
– water
African Violets Propagation Directions
1. Take a healthy African Violet plant and cut a few leaves.

2. Be sure that you cut as close to the root as possible.

3. Put the leaves in the bowl of water.

4. Leave them in bright light for 2 to 4 weeks. If the water evaporates, add more. Some of the leaves will develop roots.

5. Plant the leaves that have roots into the prepared flower pots. At first the plant will being to fill the flower pot with its roots, so don’t use extremely deep flower pots.

6. Water the plant 1-2 times a week.

7. After a month or so, the plant will begin growing and it will bloom beautifully in no time!
